5 students from SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE were awarded a "good ethics" award from the Sherwood Rotary earlier this week. They were chosen for going above and beyond as well as showing good character this school year. Each student received a $50 cash prize as well! Congratulations!

Recently MILLS, ROBINSON and SYLVAN HILLS MIDDLE schools attended "GPS" (Girls Power in STEM) at UCA. These 8th graders experienced various aspects of STEM from leading women in the fields of study. Special thanks to the event keynote speaker, Sara Ruane, Assistant Curator of Herpetology at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, for taking a picture with our students.

Students in Mrs. Molina's Spanish classes had fun celebrating Cinco de Mayo and the end of testing week! Each class had a Cinco de Mayo party complete with snacks and a pinata. What a fun way to wrap a busy two weeks of testing!
Dr. Charles McNulty joined SYLVAN HILLS HIGH principal Tracy Allen and District personnel, Kristin Herring and Pam Black, to discuss Ford NGL at the Sherwood Chamber monthly meeting yesterday. The team talked about the launch of the Academies of Central Arkansas and how it will benefit schools in the District, specifically the Sylvan Hills feeder schools.
On Monday, PCSSD provided boxed lunches for staff at all schools!

6th Grade math was Glowtastic this week! The students learned about statistical and non-statistical questions. What a fun, unique way to teach math lessons and engage the students.
