Good Evening Parents and Guardians, on February 16th, 17th and 21st, your child will be taking the MAP Growth assessment for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades in Reading, Language, and Math. The valuable data we gain from these assessments allows us to make evidence-based decisions when addressing your child's strengths, areas for improvement, and growth potential. Measuring academic growth is necessary to keep your child on track for college and career readiness. Our students rise to the challenge and we ask you to encourage your child to do the following for our testing dates: 1. Get plenty of sleep the night before testing 2. Have Chromebooks ready and charged when they come to school 3. Listen to teachers and follow testing directions 4. Exhibit good behavior with no distractions while testing 5. At the end of each test session make sure your child shows his or her teacher their score. Thank you for your cooperation, Maumelle Middle School Testing Department
