February is Black History Month. Samuel Massie Jr. was a chemist and worked on the Manhattan Project during WWII. His research led to medications to treat malaria, meningitis and more. He was born in North Little Rock and inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1998.

February is Black History Month. Vice Admiral Edward Moore Jr. was the highest ranking African American in the Navy at the time of his retirement. Moore's family moved to Little Rock while he was in high school. He was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1999.

Eli Keller has two kids who both attend PCSSD schools. His fiancée, Mary, has 3 kids. When he's not chasing around the kids, Eli volunteers for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas.

What a fun day! Today, we welcomed our future Stingers with our fine arts showcase. 5th grade students learned about middle school, went on a tour of the building, had lunch in the cafeteria, met the counselors and administrators and participated in instrument testing for band. We look forward to seeing you in August!
