The PFE Valentine’s Day parties are scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2021. However, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision not to exchange Valentine cards this year.
We feel this is necessary to abide by health guidelines put in place for this school year. This decision is made with the health and safety of our students in mind.

Michael A. Conley was a track & field star who won 16 NCAA titles at the Univ. of Arkansas. He also won an Olympic gold medal in 1992 and silver medal in 1984. He was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1998.

Faye Clarke co-founded Educate the Children Foundation to support rural school districts with book donations & more. $20 million+ in supplies have been donated. She was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 2002.

The superintendent's cabinet wore African clothing and bright colors earlier this week to kick off Black History Month. Several cabinet members wore traditional kente designs which represent their own unique, symbolic value.

February 1 - 5 is National School Counseling Week! Each year schools across the nation honor their school counselors for the work they do in schools. School counselors dedicate their time helping students with social emotional, academic, and career goals. PFE PTO thanked Mrs. Laura Turner & Mrs. April Belcher with flowers today, showing their appreciation for all they do for the PFE students.
Samuel Lee Kountz Jr., M.D. was a physician and pioneer in organ transplantation. He performed the first kidney transplant on patients who were not identical twins. He was inducted into the Arkansas Black Hall of Fame in 1997.

The Arkansas Down Syndrome Association (ADSA) received a donation from Briggs Equipment to provide sensory masks for more than 100 of our students across the district.
