PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. -- The Kids Heart Challenge is a fun and exciting event where your student learns about their heart while helping others by raising money for the American Heart Association. It prepares your child for success through physical and emotional well-being.
This year students are split into two teams within their schools - Team Heart and Team Hero. The goal is to create a competition within the school to encourage students to raise even more money. There are challenges designed to help kids be healthy, kind, prepared and helpful. Teachers also receive heart lessons that can be implemented in the classroom, the gym and at recess.
Since 2009, every elementary school in PCSSD has participated in this challenge at some point. this year, there are six elementary schools that are participating in the challenge.
- Cato Elementary
- Daisy Bates Elementary
- College Station Elem
- Pine Forest Elementary
- Lawson Elementary
- Oak Grove Elementary
